How To Make Origami Grass (Variation)

I like this origami grass variation because it is so simple and because I designed it myself. I also like how the blades are even, and look like they were just cut by a lawn mower.


Step 1: Take your piece of paper and place it face down.


Step 2: Take the right side and fold it across the left. Then fold the top to the bottom. Then unfold you last fold.




Step 3: Fold the top of the paper to the center line. Do the same with the bottom, and unfold both folds.




Step 4: Take the top-right corner and fold it along the first line it meets. Do the same with the bottom-left corner.




Step 5: Take the top-left corner and fold it along the center line. Repeat with the bottom-right corner.



Step 6: Take the bottom and fold up along the center line. And you finished your origami grass variation!

The basketball hoop is a fun and interactive model. Once made, just crumple some paper into a ball and start shooting (you can also make a crumpled ball ). It can be made from either origami paper or printer paper. If you make it from origami paper, it won't be as tall, and won't stand up as easily, but it will still work. I would recommend making it from printer paper though. Also, it might fall over when being used, so just put a book or something behind it and it will stay up fine. Origami Dragon (harder)

The dragon is my favorite origami model but it is definitely not a beginner model. To fold it, you need to be able to petal, squash, sink, valley, and reverse fold. If you can't do all of  these folds, refer to the  folds  post. Step 1: Fold a  bird base  and have the separate points at the bottom Step 2: Valley fold the top point down Step 3: Mountain fold the top point down around the back Step 4: Valley fold the top point to the middle crease line, crease, and unfold Step 5: Now open the paper and sink fold the tip down. Oragami Inflatable Frog

The inflatable frog is a traditional Japanese origami model. It is a rather common model, but it's only one of many origami frogs out there. It is a rather advanced model, requiring squash and petal folds to make the base, and reverse folds to form the frog. It inflates, but is folded from a frog base rather than a waterbomb base.
