Origami Swan (medium)

The swan is a very elegant bird, and this origami model is no exception. It is quite a bit harder than the other swan I have on this blog, and I do not go over the reverse folds in detail. It is best when made out of white paper, but I used yellow to help distinguish each side better. Step 1: Fold a kite base and turn it over so that the flaps are on the back Step 2: Valley fold the far left point in Step 3: Valley fold that same point to the far left edge Step 4: Continue folding the point out so the crease you made in step 3 lines up with the left edge Step 5: Valley fold the model in half Step 6: Take the far left point and bring it down a little to adjust the fold (this step is optional so if you don't understand just skip it) Step 7: Valley fold the bottom edge to the top, and mountain fold the far flap up at the same angle Step 8: Valley fold the far right point to the far left Step 9: Unfold ...

Origami Dragon (harder)

The dragon is my favorite origami model but it is definitely not a beginner model. To fold it, you need to be able to petal, squash, sink, valley, and reverse fold. If you can't do all of  these folds, refer to the  folds  post. Step 1: Fold a  bird base  and have the separate points at the bottom Step 2: Valley fold the top point down Step 3: Mountain fold the top point down around the back Step 4: Valley fold the top point to the middle crease line, crease, and unfold Step 5: Now open the paper and sink fold the tip down. Epic Origami's 6th Year Anniversary!

     This blog, Epic Origami has been around for 6 years now!  Its first post was April 24th, 2013. At that point, it was started by my older brother, Dallin. I know its been over two months more that 6 years, but I'm still doing this post.       Dallin started this off t o provide clear, reliable instructions for a variety of origami models. Sometimes, origami books or online instructions are too vague or unclear and he wanted to be a part of the solution. Over a period of multiple years, he posted 75 posts to this blog! That's a lot, especially given how much time and effort is put into each post.       Then, about two and a half years ago, my brother got a bit bored of this, and so I took over for him. I wasn't nearly as experienced as him, but I've tried my best. I also forgot about this for a while, but I hope to be posting more as the summer goes on.        I'd just like to attach a few pictures ...
