The Spear Paper Airplane
This airplane is very similar in make to the second airplane version I have on this blog. Like most airplanes, this one is not complicated, and is folded from a regular sheet of printer paper (8.5 by 11). This airplane flies very straight when folded well, and is my favorite airplane model.
Step 1: Start with a regular sheet of 8.5 by 11 paper oriented horizontally
Step 2: Valley fold the model in half, crease, and unfold
Step 3: Valley fold the top right corner in so the right edge meets the center crease
Step 4: Valley fold the bottom right corner just like in step 3
Step 5: Valley fold edges AB and edge BC to the center
Step 6: Valley fold the far right point to the far left. Make sure the center crease lines up.
Step 7: Valley fold that same point back, but leaving some paper in between (essentially crimp folding it)
Step 8: Valley fold the bottom edge up so it lines up with the top
Step 9: Valley fold the top layer of the model down so edge AB lines up with edge AC. Don't worry if the rest of the paper doesn't line up.
Step 10: Mountain fold the other wing at the same angle as in step 9
It will look like this:
Unfold the wings partway and your airplane is complete!
For best performance throw it gently and level
