The Tulip
The tulip is a traditional origami flower, and is rather simple to make. It consists of only valley and mountain folds, so a beginner should be able to fold it. It inflates, so it naturally is folded from the waterbomb base.
Step 1: Fold a waterbomb base
Step 2: Valley fold the top layer at the left corner up to the top
Step 3: Valley fold the top layer at the right corner up
Step 4: Turn the model over and repeat steps 2 and 3 on this side
Step 5: (top view) Place your fingers on the side with an equal number of flaps on both sides, and flatten so you have untouched sides
It will look like this:
Step 6: Valley fold the top left edge to the center
Step 7: Valley fold the top right edge to the center
Step 8: Turn the model over and repeat steps 6 and 7 on this side
Step 9: Open the left flap as if you were to squash fold it, but then insert the right flap into it
Only tuck it in partway
Step 10: Turn the model over and repeat step 9 on this side
Step 11: (bottom view) Grip the paper with two fingers on the right and left sides, then blow in the center hole
It will look like this:
Step 12: (side view) Take the top flaps (there will be 4) and gently peel them back to finish your tulip!
Beautiful flower!
