Dollar Sunglasses
These origami dollar sunglasses are a very neat model designed by Karen Bishop. The sunglasses make a great gift or tip for most occasions. It is an easy model that has only valley folds.
Step 1: Start with George facing up (if you don't have a dollar bill on hand you can cut a piece of paper so it is 6.6cm by 15.6cm)
Step 2: Valley fold the top to the bottom, crease, and unfold
Step 3: Valley fold both edges into the center
Step 4: Unfold just the bottom part
Step 5: Valley fold the top left corner down so the corner touches the center line...
... like so:
Step 6: Repeat step 5 on the right side
Step 7: Valley fold the bottom corner up so it looks like the picture below
Step 8: Repeat step 7 on the other side
Step 9: Valley fold the bottom edge to the center
Step 10: Valley fold both ends down
The two edges should barely meet in the center
Step 11: Turn the model over and valley fold the top edge down
Step 12: Lift up the back flaps a little. This makes the sunglasses stand (sort of) on their own.
Viola! Your origami money sunglasses are complete!
