Epic Origami

The heart bookmark is very easy to fold. It is also very practical. Step 1: Take a thin, but long strip of origami paper. It doesn't matter the size, except you need it to be long enough for step 4 and 5. Place it horizontally. I used 15 cm by 4 cm paper. Step 2:Fold across. Step:3 Undo step 2. Step 4:Take the left side and fold it down with the edge of the paper going along with the crease you just made in step 2. Step 5: Repeat step 4 on the right side. If your folds don't go down pass the triangle paper part you either need longer paper or your paper  needs to be thinner. The length of the should be the same on both sides. Step 6: Flip your paper upside down. Step 7: On both flaps fold down a little bit. It doesn't matter that much how far you go down. Your heart should look like this. The sailboat is an easy beginner model that doesn't require much time or know-how to fold. Unfortunately, it won't sail because it is just a sailboat silhouette. If you want to fold a boat that floats, try the  sampan  instead. However, it's still a good-looking model that's fun to fold and stands up on its own. The basketball hoop is a fun and interactive model. Once made, just crumple some paper into a ball and start shooting (you can also make a crumpled ball ). It can be made from either origami paper or printer paper. If you make it from origami paper, it won't be as tall, and won't stand up as easily, but it will still work. I would recommend making it from printer paper though. Also, it might fall over when being used, so just put a book or something behind it and it will stay up fine. Step 1: If you're using printer paper, orient it vertically. If you're using origami paper, make a  waterbomb base  and then skip to step 9.
