Oragami Inflatable Bunny

The inflatable bunny is one of my favorite models and is another model that is folded from the waterbomb base. It is very similar to the waterbomb/cube. They make great crafts around Easter. You can also glue a cotton ball to make a tail and add facial features to make it more detailed if you want. The best colors for these are pink or white.  Step 1: Fold a waterbomb base  and have the top of the base point up Step 2: Valley fold the bottom left corner up to the top corner  Step 3: Valley fold the bottom right corner up to the top corner so its edge meets the edge of the other flap Step 4: Take the left corner of the left flap that was just created and valley fold it to the center Step 5: Do the same with the right flap Step 6: Take the top left flap and valley fold it straight down Step 7: Valley fold that same triangle flap along its longest side Step 8: Crease and unfold Step 9: Open the pocket on ...

The Frog Base

The frog base is a more complex base folded from the square base. It is mostly used to make frogs (hence the name), and to make it you need to have mastered the petal and squash fold. If you plan on making a frog from it, green is probably the best color. Step 1: Fold a square base  and have the open end at the bottom Step 2: Take the left hand flap and squash fold it down...  ...like this: Step 3: Do the same with the other three flaps so they all look like this: (tip: you will have to temporarily fold some flaps to the side to do this to all three flaps) Step 4: Valley fold the bottom left edge to the center (make sure to only fold the top layer) Step 5: Valley fold the top layer at the bottom right edge to the center Step 6: Unfold the folds you made in steps 4 and 5 Step 7: Take the green flap and petal fold it up (its best to grip where my thumb is in the pic)  It will look like this: ...

Origami Swan (medium)

The swan is a very elegant bird, and this origami model is no exception. It is quite a bit harder than the other swan I have on this blog, and I do not go over the reverse folds in detail. It is best when made out of white paper, but I used yellow to help distinguish each side better. Step 1: Fold a kite base and turn it over so that the flaps are on the back Step 2: Valley fold the far left point in Step 3: Valley fold that same point to the far left edge Step 4: Continue folding the point out so the crease you made in step 3 lines up with the left edge Step 5: Valley fold the model in half Step 6: Take the far left point and bring it down a little to adjust the fold (this step is optional so if you don't understand just skip it) Step 7: Valley fold the bottom edge to the top, and mountain fold the far flap up at the same angle Step 8: Valley fold the far right point to the far left Step 9: Unfold ...
